...who'da thought these layabout chancers woulda been treadin' th'boards in any form long enough to have th'first wax released as a thirtieth anniversary 3cd blowout?thatsa right amigo not too many but that is indeed whats up with this, three disks packed with radio sessions/b-sides/demos/plus th'first gig at th'100club(supportin' th'pistols) in ol'london towne...from th'beginnin bass throb o' neatneatneat this is a perfect encapsulation o' street level rocknroll in th'mid seventies blowin' th'past few years o' singer songers/prog musos into th' garbage bin'n bury it...this is dave vanian'n mates diggin' th'grave o' pomposity'n lightin' th'dawn o' a new era givin' th'kids something o' their own, a new hope where millionaire coke heads didn't get a look in...buzzin' guitar'n pummelin' drums, cymbals ringin' all underpinned with th'captains throbbin' strings with daves monotone delivery glidin' over th'top...released early '77 this got th'year off to a fine start, a year that saw incredible wax from th'clash/pistols/jam plus many other long forgotten players who all helped rescue music from th'blahs...th'bonus disks round out th'whole shebang by addin' singles'n th'first demos( june76) plus sessions for john peels radio show'n th'july76 appearance at th'100club...dig th'fact theres hardly anyone in attendance at this gig yet many have come to think they were, such must be th'power o' positive thinkin'(or lyin')...50trx in just over two hours, well worth th'bother for this monumental reissue o'screachin' rockroll noise...
