Saturday

...dee flittered across th' london mod scene o' th' mid 8tees 'n then she was gone leavin this nice offerin for cats to remember her by...made up o' cod six oh r'n'b, bigbeat pop 'n just fun tunes, this is a taste o' a minor talent plucked from obscurity for 15minits in th' sun...got very good reviews in th' mod underground zines 'n also made some ripples with th' fickle music press hax o' th' day so she may o' had a future tho' probably not ona major level...
...durin th' 8tees rush to xcape into all thangs retro there sure was a mountain o' complete garbage vyin for cats attention...garage hopefuls that didn't mainly have a clue, paisley underground that apart from a coupla combos was just new wave record co. trash that couldn't stand up due to th' whole thang bein built on sand...but it weren't all bad news cos around th' planet were aggros that knew yesterday could be today 'n this combo here were one 'o th' top xponents o' th' 64/66 ramalama...garage 'n surf pummel o' th' first order is what fills up this coasta containin hep killadilla 'n no filla rakkit from across th' time they were layin down th' noise...

Friday

...angry buzzin bees in 'n cavern deep deep below th' deepest cellar populated by these madlee driven cats is th' sound o' th' crazy riffin goin on here...growlin guttral vocal sound intones a bleakness not visited upon many on this planet...drums stop 'n start whenever they feel 'n th' whole thang has a sound barely captured, always tryin to xcape away from th' speakers...needs a few spins to get to grips with whats goin on but as time goes on a cat may find this strangely addiktive...

Monday

...once any doubtin cats have got a handle on stans vocal style this is a very fine 'n authentic soundin anglo take on some fine windy city rent party rakkit...great stingin geetar 'n well funkee blues keyboards on this first wax...very popular on th' club circuit durin th' late six ohs, they failed to stay together as a unit when christine left 'n it all fell apart in th' new decade...makes a worthwhile spin any day o' th' week...

Sunday

...cats with any aversions to them there concept albums 'n th' like 're advised to get some o' th' medication o' their choice before spinnin this platta cos here's a double pile-up o' th' concept to end th' whole 'nchilada...this is one big blowout regardin th' end o' th' world as interperated thru revelations 'n the total result is jerusalem is th' center o' amerikkka...this may seem like preacha madness gone off th' rails but these cats set it to a backdrop o' power trio swill bulgin with distorted fx pedal skreeech that bubbles 'n blastz, pulses 'n drones for well over 'n hour...destined to be some sorta desired artifact some time in th' century...

Wednesday

...first 'n best disk from these mersey psych heads...real nice slice 'o acid rock that dropped durin th' post punk avant/psych xploshun o' 79/81 before that loose idea got genred 'n codified 'n swallowed up by lesser talents...hepsters are advised to check trk7 for a great street level ode to chemical funsterism...

Tuesday

...some pretty right-on lyrix concernin some o' th' different aspex o' th' war machine from th' bizniz scum/politcians that keep conflikt goin on, th' poor that go to th' battle 'n end up not copin with society on return, fear o' atomic destruction that was still on a lotta cats minds with vietnam/cold war madness....not copin in skwareville without drugs 'n th' opposite, just havin fun with drugs...hippie bongo mysticism 'n comik book weirdness add to vibe...all this laid on top o' some doomed heavy riffin 'n a roar in th' production (probably accidently but it dont make no nevermind this late in th' day) that make this a different groove to th' first disks messed up heavy blues rock...

Monday

...nice 'n tasty basement level boogie hard rockin debut from this still goin combo...no doubt their legions o' fans aint too cozy with this platta as its way too rough 'n ready for normal citizen consumption but cats who dig messed up early seven oh rockin may well get a beam on this'n...chippa elpee that o' course benifitz from th' normal amp settins for this kinda swill - stun...

Sunday

...named after th' 60's youth cult paperback this combo played th' openin night o' th' roxy, th' punk sweatbox in ol' london towne back in late '76...got dissed initially for havin a poppy vibe to their noise but soon picked up a good pogonashus followin 'n even got a coupla hits in th' citizens hit parade...this is th' first platta 'n its a goodly dose o' 77 style poppunk worthy o' a few spinz...dig th' mangulated freakout on th' last trk, proper spiffin...
...what happens when a buncha cats get with th' chemicals 'n plants 'n plenny o' studio time, they make th' best disk o' their career...geetar/bass checkin into spaces not too many cats had visited 'n some avant /noise/poetry/collage collide in glorious stereo in th' middle o' th' cranium...considerin th' high profile o' this combo at th' time with kountakultral 'n skwares its amazin they managed such 'n incredible platta cos most in that position would put out some mersh drivel or messed up completely 'n come up with absolutely zeroness o' nothin...most trx still sound adventureous 40years down th' long road o' strangeness...
...really nice offerin from these leather'dout glamorpusses recorded in ol' london towne back in 8t one at th' home o' clubland rockin...great gig, good sound 'n as 'n xtra its way cool th' way th' singer involves th' audience...any cats interested in what was really happ'nin back in that strangly dull decade may wanna grab a lugfull...

Saturday

...kwiki xploito release to mop up any hippee bread that might be around followin th' demise o' everyones fave cottagers...at the time it seemed a not very fittin end bein a coupla possibly less than essential singles 'n a side consistin two live trx seeminly picked at random, but with th' passin o' many many moons its 'n okeedohkee release...
...th' original idea behind this platta was to be stevies solo venture but after a few days in th' studio he knew he needed his ol' muckas back so in came chris 'n jim to reform th' combo that made top noise together...another xtremely chippa bunch o' jazzrock tuneage, with a bit o' folky touches speshlee on th' title cut, was th' outcome...it was now time to take on th' seventies with a fresh spring in their step...
...most cats know these lone star longhairs from th' great dead man wax that they released on their own hookah label after th' original deal they had went moody...this platta here is th' gear they recorded for th' earlier deal but never released at th' time...its good late 60's stoner hard rock with th' second side consistin o' th' 15minit dead man trk which sound my-tee fine when th' amp is drivin with that #11 goin strong...
...from th' tail end o' th' six ohs comes this really top doomy soundin keyboard heavy proggy hard rock with nice slices o' geetar riffin 'n solos weavin around to make this a total treat...very much a drag that this was th' only offerin, before it was splitsville 'n onto lesser, but more lucrative bizniz...
...this somewhat heavy handed hard rock prog disk gets off to a pretty dreary start 'n makes a cat wanna move along but th' second trk looks up a bit 'n then they find their footin...keyboard 'n geetar fronted copy o' procol harum with some lookin back in th' vocal dept. to th' psych days...a good xample o' a combo not really knowin what th' new prog sounds o' th' 70's should be 'n not enuff talent to write a tune 'n stretch it out...also rans but not very far...

Friday

...cats with their finga on th' pulse, ear to th' ground 'n th' peepers on th' deletion bin may well remember this combos name cos they put out some great psychodelik avant dronin spektakular wax...got written off as indie garbage by skware media hax who didn't even read th' hype sheet let alone spin th' plattas, they were destined to drift off into no-mans land which is a real loss...this is one of th' greatest lost wax of th' last decade 'n deserve a place in any hep heads stak'o'wax...

Thursday

...any heads interested in th' hep rockin noise 'n its history owes it to themselves to get as many listens as possible to one o' th' most important cats o' 20th century rakkit...charley recorded some 60 odd sides from 1929 to '34 'n this chippa roundup collects 24 hits 'n lesser known cuts to make a good startin point...cats not hearin charley before 're somewhat advised to spin these tunes a coupla times before gettin down to a serious listen as his smokin 'n whisky drinkin voice might be hard to understand first off, but once breakin thru that small barrier theres many rewards in his lyrix...very clean sound considerin th' sources o' some o' th' original disks
...debut disk recorded in roughly 48hours by these hepsters from th' back streets 'n alleyways o' th' late 6ohs...takin th' heavy blues rock then prevalent 'n uppin th' riff'n thud quotient to create what many cats offer as th' first heavy metal elpee...that assumption could be true then again debate is always ready to be had...what is certain is this is th' way they saw 'n heard th' sounds around them in cellars 'n backrooms 'n interpreted them accordin'ly...very cool wax 'n still makes for a goodly poundin lugfull...

Tuesday

...this frisco ballroom fillin combo made five good 'n worthy bikits (studio) durin th' timeframe o' them bein a hot 'n relevant force in th' annals o' th' then new music, i.e th' birth 'n evolution o' rock...th' first two are th' birth( folkpop) 'n th' others are rock (evolution)...th' wax here is th' forth 'n th' rock sound is findin its feet...earlier traces o' pop/folk/avantjammin(baxters, th' 3rd wax) is bein molded into a whole 'n with th' aid o' some green (opshunal) 'n some headfones a cat can get hep to all th' ingredience bein placed on th' musical canvas by what is basically a power trio overlaid with voices...geetar bass 'n drums weave around in 'n out creatin a way cool sound that once a handle has been found to grab ahold o', keeps gettin better...any cat who aint heard this in many years may well find this still 'n xtremely good listen...cats who aint heard it but dig th' later post psych sound from 60's may need to give it a coupla spins before they listen more intently, but it may well be worth th' time 'n effort...

Sunday

...th' title says it all 'n has for nearly five decades 'n brotha thats a lot 'o time slippin on by 'n cats thats somethin else...even th'coupla filla is killa dilla 'n that aint really no stretchin o' th' ol'truth when it comes down to th' nitty gee...32trx o' eddie sure is a goodly slice o' rockin 'n what makes this cat stay at th' top o' th' tree is th' effortless way th' rural 'n urban vibes, along with all aspx o'teenage concerns mix together on nearly every single tune...not in strict chrono order 'n thats cool with this cos th' whole deal comes out kinda rounded 'n complete...dig th' pictures o' eddie 'n sharon out wax shoppin, kixville dad, solid gone...
...recorded in 3 sessions late 66/early 67 th' sleeve notes talk o' this release bein an important event 'n that everythin monk does bein o' ekwal importance 'n for once this is not just some hack beatin their chops to earn some undeserved geetus...so true that this cat is one o' th' cornerstones o' 20th century music 'n theres always somethin fresh poppin off th' grooves as monk wanders around th' keys pickin xaktlee th' right note to let th' listner know no-one else woulda picked that one...post bop collidin with th' avant garde 'n creatin somethin thats always fresh 'n lastin...
...recorded in just two days in march68, tammys in fine voice on this her 3rd long playin disk 'n thats a good thing cos when she's on top form there aint too many who can catch up...as with all nashville elpees o' that time theres filla but its real listenable as tam does more than most to give th' fans some good value for their hard earned scratch...

Saturday

...chippa 'n perky slice o' teeveeland jazzotica on 'n afro tip from this forgotten program full o' niceness back in th' mid six ohs...woodwind, percussion 'n tack piano give this th'authentic' touch...as 'n aside cats may wish to remember shelly was th' drummer in th' jazz combo at waldos bar in 3 episodes o' that well groovee late 50's tv prog johnny staccato who was a sorta beatnik/hep private shamus, good stuff...
...well spiffin proggedout basement power 'lektronix with some riffin 'n tired dronin vokals make up this early look at th' gristle...recorded 75/6, th' date somewhat lost to time, this is a very good soundin boot that although not as unsettlin as it might once have been will still seperate heads from civilians as all top kwality art should...travel back 3decades to when th' world was younger...

Friday

...fantastic basement rockin riffin swill from th' beginin o' th' 8tees that inadvertantly spawned about 3 genres o' heavy metal but this is th' real deal...this was originally just a few more demos recorded for neatrecords but th' head honcho there knew a cool sound when he heard it 'n decided to go with these recordins...'n thats what makes this so good, th' sound o' th' non production with th' geetar buzzin 'n th' whiskey 'n cigaret vocal growlin away, 'n th' drum thumpin...
...to get th' most from this th' followin could be 'mployed:
...any bass boom/boast turned on...
...normal bass turned down...
...treble turned to midway...
...volume on stun...
...this will give th' approximation o' all strapped busto crusto heads stereo set ups from th' late seven ohs 'n that suits this platta to a T,'n thats A-OK brotha...any cats that dig th' true sound o' both rock 'n th' roll cannot fail to get most from this heavy rollin monsta...
