...any cat givin' a peep to th' cover could get to thinkin' this wax came out on elektra'n diggin' th' grooves inside can only confirm this thought which ain't so far away cos this was th'first disk from asylum records who were set up in a laurel canyon vibe where a small group o' artists were gonna be allow'd total space 'n creative assistance to fulfill their potential...well things kinda look'd true 'n good with judee bein' th' first wax outta th' gate but it soon became home for coked out cowboys whinin' about their self importance 'n who knows what else...folky singer/songwriter moves with a nice coatin' o' artpop for th' more cultural cats, 'n thats about where it start'd to go wrong cos culture were'nt big on th' agenda in th' early 70's with all th'bad drugs bein' peddled by government lackys'n th' general mindset o' hopelessness that had set in with many...scored some good reviews in eurolands'n judee found a more receptive audience in th' oldeworlde where th' baroque elements o' her work were accept'd as one aspect o' th'sound 'n not just some snobby cleverness to be inflicted on th'roobs...could be seen as a less urban, slightly stripped down laura nyro, who also suffered from hippys not understandin' her scene...
