...these cats show right from th'start that they'd been checkin' th'english scene with nods to yardbirds'n them especially...good solid r'n'b with some hot-hot guitar...unfortunately they started giggin' with this noise just when th' frisco scene was gettin' all acid minded'n bendin' all outta shape with distortion' buzzin th' senses o' all comers...if'n they'd stayed in th' city as opposed to livin' some miles north they'd probably been able to adapt to th'changin' times cos they certainly knew how to put on a frantic screach 'n that woulda translated, like big brothers noise, into wall meltin' electric vibrations...th' good clear sound puts th'list'ner right there groovin' down th' front with th' wasted beatnix...easily on a par with th'early QMS/bb&hc in th'string bendin'n th' drums pound with th'cymbals ringin'n spinnin'...th' last four trx are th' two singles they managed to put out to a disinterested public showin' they could bolt r'n'b to avant slop to goodly effect...dig this hot combo from th' beginnin' o' th' frisco scene who dreamed o' playin th'crawdaddy in ol'london towne...
